This seems to be the season for the great political circus in Bengal. It started off with the finance minister Dr. Amit Mitra playing the role of the psychiatrist and declaring Mr. Ratan Tata insane for failing to spot industrialization in Bengal. It then continued with Mr.Arun Jaitley rebuking the Bengal government for its jamboree to Singapore (futile. in his opinion, since the TMC does not support foreign fund infusion). It was followed by counter-volleys from Dr.Mitra , dismissing his comments as " a distortion of facts, smacking of low-level politics."
Indeed, it is amusing to see the repertoire of comments rallying back and forth, and great to see Didi's grand band including artists and intellectuals hit Singapore in search of capital. Investment,did someone say? Well, enough and more investment in terms of pulling the heart strings of Maa Mati Manush , has been done enough. And to top it, her disciple the Hon MP Tapas Paul proposes rape therapy in Bengal. Looks like TMC has its arms full and more!
Here's to the intrepid TMC brigade for keeping us amused in the midst of everything. May they continue to do this job well!
